Truth to Power | Eric Jones for Congress #runningforcongress #politicalcampaign

I’m a Christian, a father, and a businessman. This is all new to me. I am someone who believes you can fight hard for what you believe in without losing sight of how you treat people. That’s something I’ve had to think about on this campaign. I’ve asked my pastor for guidance on how to speak truth to power — and whether negative attacks are justified, even when we are supposed to love our enemies. My pastor reminded me that Jesus understood the difference between speaking sharp truths to the powerful and treating everyone else with kindness and empathy — fighting for those wronged by the corrupted leaders. So, yes, I’ll draw contrasts with my opponent when I believe they matter. But I’ll spend even more time listening — at town halls, knocking on doors, and talking with people across this district — because this campaign is about serving the people who live here.
